Aw-Mos Development and Relief Organization (ADRO) is a Somali-based, non-governmental and non-profit organization founded in 1992 by local professionals committed to community support.

ADRO focuses on helping vulnerable groups — especially women, children, and marginalized people — through programs in health, education, clean water, food security, protection, and emergency relief.

  1. INTRODUCTION:

AW-Mos Development & Relief Organization (ADRO) is a local NGO; it is a non- politic, non- governmental, non-religious and non-profit making organization operating in Somalia the NGO is community based organization working for humanitarian Relief in close collaboration with UN Agencies and intentional Organization, in order to support and cover the needs of the community population effected by the conflict natural disasters and diseases outbreak 

Aw-Mos Development and relief organization established 1992 by group of intellectuals who felt the pain of the community and the need of the local organization working for Humanitarian Relief and Development by tackling the problems facing the community especially vulnerable group as woman, children and minority/marginalized groups.  

ADRO is registered and with the federal government of Somalia under the Ministry of internal and National Security and regional levels, ADRO works closely with communities. 

ADRO thematic area of work: food security/livelihood, Water/sanitation and Hygiene promotion and Health/Nutrition, Education and Protection.

ADRO is a committed partner, who works closely with communities and Aid agencies in Somalia to find long lasting solution to poverty, hunger, lack of clean water and dignity. ADRO vision is to better the living condition as many vulnerable as possible.

ADRO strategic objective is to contribute to Emergency humanitarian and recovery and Developments interventions to assist the most vulnerable women, chidden, marginalized communities in Somalia with the support of international/Local donors and ADRO Board contribution.            

To strive to achieve a broadened opportunities for a secure and sustainable livelihood for disadvantaged community with particular emphasize to    women and children who are the articulated theme of the organization 

  

  1. Financial Objective

ADRO will raise finance to fund activities included in its strategic objective as well as fixed cost such as office rent.  c.

Operational Objective  

ADRO will take the minimum cost for its expenditure, will make sure every single donor fund is accounted and used for the goal it has been planned. The activities of ADRO are timely, affective and will make sure its reaches the intended goal. 

  1. Governance Objective

ADRO will establish sound policies in its human resources, procurement, asset, risk managements so that ADRO is accountable to donors, beneficiaries and the public.
