Empowering Communities, Restoring Dignity
Aw-Mos Development and Relief Organization (ADRO) is a Somali-based, non-governmental and non-profit organization founded in 1992 by local professionals committed to community support.
ADRO focuses on helping vulnerable groups — especially women, children, and marginalized people — through programs in health, education, clean water, food security, protection, and emergency relief.
What We Do

Health and Nutrition
ADRO delivers essential health and nutrition services to vulnerable communities, focusing on mothers, children, and the elderly. We promote better health through awareness, mobile clinics, and nutrition support.

Livelihood / Food Security
ADRO works to reduce hunger and poverty by supporting farming, offering vocational training, and running cash-for-work programs. We help families build stable and sustainable incomes.

Water and Sanitation
ADRO provides clean water and improves hygiene through well rehabilitation, hygiene kit distribution, and awareness campaigns, helping communities stay healthy and prevent disease.

Protection
ADRO safeguards vulnerable groups — especially women and children — from abuse and violence through awareness, advocacy, and community-based protection programs.

Education
ADRO supports access to education by providing training, awareness, and support for children and youth, with a focus on marginalized and displaced communities.

Relief/Safety Net
ADRO responds to emergencies with timely aid such as cash transfers, food, and hygiene kits, ensuring vulnerable families get the support they need during crises.
